Wet Nightmares Chapter 01 v2.0

Welcome, everyone! The day has finally come: We have just updated Wet Nightmares to version 2.0. Let's break down what is new and what the user can expect for this build, as it has been a long time since we patched.

What’s New

Short answer: We remade the entire chapter 01 of Wet Nightmares from the ground up. Every single asset in the game has been fully overhauled to match Erkerut's updated rendering style. We have also overhauled the story and fixed so many bugs and UX presentation issues. Just consider 2.0 a whole new game, and you got the right idea.

• overhauled saving system and frequency of auto-save
• overhauled save/load screens with additional save data and systems
• overhauled options menu for Renpy-specific systems and services
• overhauled CG menu from stills to shortcuts to sex sequences in-game
• overhauled main menu screen
• fixed controller support for menu hovers and navigation
• downsized filesize and optimized assets

The team spent a huge amount of time overhauling all of the art and UX for the game, and all of that carries over to the brand-new demo! So if you’re on the fence about buying yourself a copy of Wet Nightmares, give the demo a go!

Chapter 02 and Beyond!

You guessed it, we have a lot more work to do with Wet Nightmares. Currently, we are polishing Chapter 02 of the game, and prepping for the launch into Steam’s Early Access once that is done. I would wager we are about 75% of the way there, we just need a little more time to get over the finishing line. After that Chapter 03 work will begin, and following that 04 and 05.
