Linux Port + Bug Fixes! [Devlog 3]

void◆sprite
A downloadable pixel art editor for Windows and Linux

Major Devlog!

Welcome back to another void◆sprite update! This time it is largely focused on adjusting features/fixing bugs and crashes introduced in the prior update, as well as making an initial release for the Linux port.

  • Bugfixes

  • Using the “Open” button on the Launchpad to open a palletized image no longer causes the program to crash (Thanks SupSuper!)

  • Changes

  • The UI has been adjusted to have less transparency effects, removing ones that would affect the workspace. It will be possible to switch between this and the prior UI style in an upcoming update.

  • Releases

  • A Linux port is now available. Please do note that it is in an early state as of now (and has been a lot of trouble to get working), so expect crashes and bugs whilst using it. Please, report them to the itch.io and/or the Github page as soon as possible, alongside with how you triggered the bug/crash.

  • The Linux port requires the following to function: -glibc 2.35 or higher -Your system must be able to support x64 software

  • Run voidsprite.x86_64 to launch the program. If you get a “missing shared objects” error, try installing them with your preferred package manager.

Until next time, the void◆sprite Team.
