Post-Jam Update and the Future
TrellisA browser game made in HTML5
Wow, what a wild ride GMTK 2024 was. Trellis got ranked #10 overall!
I just released a small incremental post-jam update. Highlights include:
- The game now runs in HTML5! (But there's a windows download as well if you prefer that).
- Tweaked some of the level design and game feel a little bit. Hopefully now it feels a little bit snappier.
- Added more sounds overall.
There are so many ideas I have for this game that could potentially be done in the future. I want to see if I can expand it some more at a later date. For example:
- I want to experiment more with different ways to control the plant. Hopefully in ways that open up more interesting gameplay.
- Looking into different art styles.
- More mechanics like solving physics puzzles, dealing with seasons and weather, etc.
- Less linear gameplay and more of a focus on exploration and discovery.
- Etc, etc, etc. My head is spinning.
If you have other suggestions and feedback, I'd love to hear it. And follow the game if you haven't for more future updates.
Thank you all!
