Discord Controls 1.5 Update
The extension has been updated to version 1.5 with several important new features and quality-of-life improvements.
First of all, don’t worry if you noticed we’re skipping version 1.4! That version was only distributed to a handful of people for testing, and since further improvements have been made, we’re now releasing 1.5.
Here’s what’s new:
- The Create Message command now supports file attachments, meaning you can send images directly to your Discord server without using Imgur as an intermediary.
- Improved Unicode emoji handling—now, responses will display proper Unicode emojis instead of showing malformed characters.
- Added a new Encode Emoji command. This lets you encode a Unicode emoji so you can send it to Discord. For example, this is perfect for retrieving all users who reacted to a message with a specific emoji. Check out the example in the Get Reactions button.
How to update:
- Download the updated
.sef
file.
- Back up any settings or custom buttons inside the premade Discord Controls deck, as this will need to be replaced.
- Install the extension. When SAMMI prompts you, click Yes to replace both the extension and the deck.
- Restore your backed-up settings and custom buttons, and you’re ready to go!
