So, I have good news and some very slightly temporarily bad news.
The good news is that my visa application was approved, so I can stay in the UK forever now! After 5 years of having to stress over whether I'd be able to stay, I no longer have to worry. That now also means I'm done with having to deal with a bunch of documents and paperwork for now. I don't have my actual citizenship yet since there's another process to do that as well, but there's no deadline for that.
The slightly annoying news is that I'm going to need a new laptop soon. Mine has been having more and more issues over time. Some programs/games crash my laptop if I try to run them. I can still work in Ren'py at least. The main problem in that regard right now is that my keyboard is having issues. Specifically the b v / ; ' keys. They don't work a lot of the time so I either have to use the on-screen keyboard to type, or I have to fight to get those keys to actually work. Getting a USB keyboard isn't all that viable due to my setup, and I don't really want to spend money on replacing my laptop's keys since there's no guarantee that the keys themselves are the issue. I'll be buying a new laptop in the near future anyway. But that does mean that typing is a huge pain in the neck at the moment. I can still work on writing, but it's slower than I'd like.
I apologize that it's been taking so long to work on the next update, but I can finally start working on it again now that other life stuff is out of the way.
Anyways, I just wanted to check in, let you all know that I'm still around and that I'm not going to be abandoning FbI or anything like that. I like it too much to give it up.
Oh yeah, one thing since I was confused by it. Someone left a comment in a survey response that they feel negatively about Tracy being trans, and purposely misgendered her for some unknown reason. I'm not really sure where that viewpoint comes from, but I will point out that the artist for Fueled by Insanity is a trans woman, so... yeah. If you dislike people for being transgender, then this probably isn't the visual novel for you.
Anyway, I hope you're all doing well, and I'll see you when I'm able to finish this update!
