Hi! I'm Danakk04, who wrote the vast majority of the code for Daddy's Game, Gamer Squids' flagship project. It was certainly the biggest game I've ever worked on, and one of the most fun ones to work on to.
Now, you might ask, why is it called Daddy's Game? Because, at Gamer Squids, we thought it was funny. You might not have noticed, but the entire game is a joke - so bad it's good. One of my main design philosophies for this was "it doesn't really matter, it's Daddy's Game." This is a game with almost no polish, allowing us to focus on the content itself, and the unique experience it offers.
This leads to a very different design to all our other games - the art was mostly done in MS paint, the sound effects are far more numerous, and there are no bugs, only features. In fact, there are a lot more features - I kinda just kept adding content, and version 3 sat on my hard-drive for about half a year before I realised I had never finished it. It's essentially a platformer playground, and there's a lot to learn about how each part of it works.
Hm. Perhaps I didn't have as much to say on this as I thought. Well, good luck! You're going to need it.
