For the past few months, I've been working on a game inspired by classics like Tamagotchi, The Sims, and Pet Society. While I'm a programmer, game development is a new challenge for me. Due to my heavy workload and school commitments, this project is currently "on hold." However, I'm eager to know if you'd be interested in a game like this.
I've seen similar games recently, but I aim to offer a unique experience for you (and myself). One of the key features I want to talk about now is that every Blop is unique.
🐤 Their appearance is randomly generated, and their bodies reflect their stats. Their size changes as they age, and the more weight they gain, the chubbier they look.
💡Traits that influence their behavior. For example, an introverted Blop won't mind if you don't check on it often, while an extroverted Blop's happiness will decrease significantly if the game is off for too long. Or If a Blop is afraid of the dark, you'll need to wait for it to fall asleep before turning off the lights to avoid upsetting him. Blops develop traits as they age, but they also evolve based on how you care for them...
💪 Skills are improving over time with their actions. For example, learning math will increase their intelligence, making them better at solving math problems.
✨ And why would you want your Blop to learn math? He might wish for it! Wishes are something like quests or tasks. A wish might randomly appear during activities ("I don't want to shower this time" with the task to look dirty) or when certain parameters change ("I don't want to be this fat" with the task to engage in physical activity).
Current State and Future Plans
Everything I've mentioned (and more) is already implemented. But I'm just getting started. Next, I plan to implement:
Beyond these, the direction of the game will be guided by my time and your interest. Future features might include room personalization, neighbors, mating, and more exciting ideas I have in mind.
