Back from Summer

Rewind: A Looping History
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android

As always, I assume I'll be able to work when my children are home and that assumption proves false. But summer vacation is over, the twins are gone for most of the day, and I'm back to work. This log is going to be pretty short and sweet; I'm going to throw up some pictures, list the things that I haven't finished yet, and then say something catchy like 'cheers' or 'see you on the flip side' or something.

Currently in progress:

  • 4 animations have yet to be finished. This is out of a total of 20, so it's going pretty well.
  • There are 5 or 6 more static image scenes that need to be created and rendered.
  • I have some preference toggles that need to be placed into the settings regarding the Dungeon Tent (it drastically speeds up progression for Lani, so I'm giving players the option to turn it off outside of dungeons).
  • I need to make some icons for the new recipe buffs, so that players are aware of their current buff status.
  • Whatever is noted in the next phase of Alpha Testing needs to be corrected.

And that's it. I'm putting together the next Alpha version for testing today (I hope). I need to complete all of the new location-specific overlay images for Lani's camping conversations before I can compile this version, since I want to test the image layering code... so it could conceivably be slightly delayed if that doesn't work out to plan.

Anyway, things are going relatively smoothly. The story writing is finished now, with the possible exception of plot holes or timeline inconsistencies noticed by the testers. Right now, I'm planning a release in mid-September.

Stay groovy, mi amigos.
