#small patch #status update
(Sorry, no funny cover image today because of reasons I'll get into shortly!)
So it's been a whopping 3 days since my last devlog! That's the longest I've gone since the advent of the project, I thought I'd give a small update to everyone currently following the project.
So after getting the NUE aspects done, I decided it was finally time to go over and polish all the important story beats and various mechanics I have implemented. This has me doing a lot of animation work and updates to my rigging/sequencing. Just a lot of busy-work when it comes to art and I'm a programmer by trade, so that's why this update is taking a bit longer than you might be used to!
That being said, I've had more feedback poked my way from the great Subso, Naki, and others! So I have an incoming patch that should sort these issues
So the reason why it's "Pending" is that Unity decided to get a bit silly with me. For SOME reason, when I tried building, all of my builds would now include a silly little "Trial Version" watermark in the bottom right.
(Not my photo, but I'm currently working to solve it, so this is the closest thing I could find)
I'm on a personal license, which should be totally valid and *not* a trial. So I tried re-installing the editor, the hub, and a bunch of other stuff to no avail. So I decided to bite the bullet and delete my "Library" folder. This means I have to re-compile all my shaders so it's taking longer than expected, and I'm HOPING it works (As another project on the same editor version did not have this issue). But that's the reason why this patch shall be slightly delayed!
So yeah! Working on story-beats and polishing the art, I'll still be updating things based on feedback so definitely please leave a comment/review of your thoughts and there's a 99.99999....% chance I will address it in some way! Thank you for all your support so far, it's been extremely motivating!
Sidenote: A friend of mine is going to be streaming the game @ https://www.twitch.tv/eeriegamesdev, so definitely check them and their company out!
