Hello! Thank you for checking out Honey Trap's latest devlog! In this update, we have great news and changes that are being applied to the game. But first, we would like to extend a major thank you to everyone who has been downloading and playing the game, or showing interest in doing so. As a new dev team, we are beyond words at the support and feedback we have received so far. We are continuing with production of both Honey Trap and The Glass Coffin and look forward to sharing more with all of you!
For a general update, thanks to the feedback so far, we will be applying edits and changes as needed to make the game more well-rounded. In fact, Wes is working hard to extend the demo and to add in some of your wonderful suggestions. Editing and revision of the script is currently underway, along with finding new assets for the game. The release date for the new and improved demo release (Version 2.3) is still in the works.
We have received feedback concerning the quality of Honey Trap's backgrounds, so after taking the time to review the budget and doing some research, there are new backgrounds in the updated build! Here are some screenshots of them in-game:
Thanks to Ren's wonderful help, Honey Trap has a new, gorgeous main menu/title screen design!
We are currently in the process of determining what we will be changing about the GUI, but it is currently not the first priority for the upcoming build.
The new build will have a CG Gallery! The CG from the current build will be in the Gallery for viewing at any time.
We are currently searching for more BGM to implement in the game, but will keep you posted if we add any new tracks to the new build.
Wes is revisiting all scripts and is working diligently with Ren on them. Editing and programming of the updated script will start as soon as we finish the revisions. New scenes and choices will be added to the demo, including extended versions of each route!
Please stay tuned for more updates, and if you would like more frequent updates please follow us on Twitter (our individual ones are linked as well). Once again, thank you so much for supporting us and playing our games. We look forward to sharing more with you soon!
