Sorry for the wait I've been scraping the story over and over. It needs to be simple and I keep wanting to add more.
So here's some eye-candy
Here's a record I've kept on the changes I made:
Day 6:
Morphed the name to the nearest "saur"
Wrote some of the Story
Made some basic Backgrounds
Created a Character Customizer (this was for test purposes and scrapet
Day 7:
Decided to cut some of the intro with character customization out of the story. No time to get fancy
Day 8:
Decided to completely redo the story, this is a vital part and I don't want to revise it later
Created a field day/night static background. Nothing fanc
Day 9-10:
Thought about the story, starting with a break-up isn't very nice but I know the ends I'd like
Chose 5 Dinosaurs and did some research on them
Drew the Player Dinosaur in SVG (took an abstract style to keep it short and simple)
Day 11:
Drew the remaining 4 Dinosaurs
Chose their respective ages and traits, no colors though
Added the "turn" command since EVERY Dinosaur was drawn looking left
Made a short story showing the Dinos'
Note that the idea is to have Godot color the Dinosaur Sprites so they are all white for now.
PS: This project takes less than 300 KB
Here's another size saving tip: SVGs created with Inkscape have unnecessary information that will be removed if you save as "Plain SVG". In my case, just doing that saved around 2-3 KBs on each Dinosaur SVG.
Since SVGs are text files they can also be minified like you'd do to a javascript file.
