Patch Saturday: KB 20240817b

This required feature update for Visual DOS 2024 adds exciting usability and quality of life improvements.

Features

Restart was always a command, you just didn’t notice it.

• (You can now restart using the restart command that was added).

New DOS compatibility mode!

• (For reasons, DOS bugs have been added).

• (Type man <command name>, and if you are feeling adventurous, try using the --ly parameter, among others).

Bug Fixes

File System driver update: No more orphaned references means you can finally find those pictures of your wife (unfortunately change results in those pictures going missing)!

• (Moved save data to an object instead of direct localstorage records. You lose progress easily gained through debug commands, but you also gain additional gameplay mechanics).

Greater stability connecting to central AI Servers

• (Expanded dialog, additional puzzles, and puzzles no longer repeat. Unfortunately, this means a hard stop after 30 puzzles, for now).
