Update v0.4
General
- Improved the game’s difficulty scaling, particularly after defeating the first Boss.
- Eaten Corpses now despawn after 11 seconds.
- Tweaked some pre-existing Rooms’ layouts.
- Implemented a text/dialogue system.
- Added secrets.
Enemies
- Carrier HP reduced from 8 to 7.
- Creeper HP increased from 3 to 4.
- Imp HP reduced from 3 to 2.5.
- New Maggots (spawned from the Carrier) HP reduced from 1 to 0.5.
- Reduced Tomb Tapper’s Stage 2 Invulnerability Frames from 35 to 31.
- Devouring a Boss Corpse now spawns the Merchant with 3 free Upgrades (Player chooses one).
Abilities
- Added the following new Passive abilities:
- Bag O’ Bones
- Bloody Bark
- Pyromancy
- Stronger Magic
- Swift Feet
- Writhing Pollen
- Added the following new Magic (Active) abilities:
- Aegis
- Immolation
- Vine Whip
- Flicker ability cooldown reduced from 5 to 4 seconds.
- Needle ability size halved and travelSpeed increased by 0.2.
- Regrowth ability cooldown timer halved if Player didn’t have enough Bones to use it.
Merchant & Upgrades
- Increased Merchant’s stackable Spawn Chance from 15% to 20% per stack.
- Items for sale now have a max base price of 99.
- Currently equipped Magic ability will no longer show up in Hidden Rooms or in the Merchant’s stock.
Sprites & UI
- Updated UI sprites for Needle and Regrowth abilities.
- Added and updated some minor visual changes on the Player when having certain abilities (i.e. Bristles, Pierce).
- Updated the Main Menu sprite.
- Updated the Hole sprite.
- Updated the Grave sprite (i.e. ones summoned by Tomb Tapper boss).
- Updated list of current Abilities UI to fit larger amounts.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where sometimes an enemy wouldn’t damage the Player if it was too close.
- Fixed certain settings not displaying properly outside the main menu.
- Fixed the cursor sometimes being behind pots.
