Now i've had a patron for as long as the project has been around. But it occurred to me that i never popularly specified on this site what the patron is and what its purpose is. So this is going to be an official announcement on how the patron works.
The goal of this project is for it to be free. transformation is a pretty niche genre in general but more importantly it allows you to test the game and see if you actually enjoy it. so its on a pay what you want modal.
What the purpose of the patron is, is to give me a source of consistent income. Which allows me to really put all my attention into this game. as much as i want to just develop for free i'm sure you can guess why that is unviable. So here is a overview what you get if you become a patron.
updates are broken up into 2 types. Minor and Major.
Minor updates are posted on Patreon exclusively you can get access to them for a 5$ per month. you can think of these as early access updates. these are typically made every other week. usually posted either tuesdays or fridays.
Major updates are posted on Itch.io for free. these come out when ever i have a bundle of minor updates. these are posted every 2 to 3 months. depending on how fast i work. these updates will also sometimes have patches that come a few days after release. because of this the minor update following major updates will be delayed a bit.
You also get any pay for prototype games for free. Currently this includes Transformation Card battler and a small story based alpha of a game called transformation survival.
I also post updates on my current situation on my patron first. you can just be a free member if you just want those.
I also include a Developer console in any patron version of the transformation dungeon. which allows you to enter in console commands using `

But i should reiterate. this is not required at all. Transformation Dungeon will continue to receive updates for as long as the project is around.
