Hey y'all! Happy Friday!
This week has had some variety to the week in what I was able to get done, along with a little bit of direction change when it comes to Lois' scenes. But fear not! I was able to get a lot done, and here it is.
This week I was able to:
I was originally hoping to squeeze in the entirety of the Lois scene, when I realized that I actually wanted to go more in-depth with it. The ideas I had for the story surrounding this scene have changed since I started drawing, and I just kept getting more and more into it. As a result I am not fully done with this scene, and I think I have 3 distinct variations done already. I think I have another 2-3 large variations to go for it from here on out. Not to mention fiddling with how light and dark the shadows are, how I want to set up the next few variations, etc. I am sure based on her pose, you can guess where the variations are going from here on out haha...
The reason I am letting my imagination go a little wild here is that I want to flesh out the scenes I add to this update more, rather than adding in scenes without as much context (A good example of this would be the scene I added with Lois last update on the couch, with the build up and proper context leading into things). I feel like those type of fleshed out scenes lead to more investment in the story and greater pay off for the scene. The second reason I am doing this, is because we know the Prom event will be the main focus in the next chapter. This prom event is going to be massive due to the different people you can choose to go with, along with their pre/during/post prom scenes I want to add to the update. I believe having a good story build up, continuing into prom being a huge development in each character's development, would fit the flow of the story well!
With all of that out of the way, here is what I have left for the current update:
So far, there are two things that could possibly cause me to take a little longer with this update. If I include another date night with Lois, that would mean more art to go with it. The other thing being, is how quickly I can finish the current scene I am working on. If I can get it done by the end of this weekend, I should be on track to finish the update sooner. Without further ado, here are my estimates:
I will be optimistic (and knowing my work ethic) and say that I will finish off the scene within the next three days of working on it. My goal is also to see if I can beat the 4 weeks/5 weeks goal I have set for myself, but I also want to be realistic with all of you. As always though, I will keep all of you updated.
A bit of a long update today, thanks for reading it through! And once again, thanks for supporting me! Hope y'all have a great weekend!
