Alpha 4 Update
New Features / Improvements
- Added the ability to bombard enemy planets when controlling the space around the planet
- Added in a few more different forms of Spy missions
- Redid multiple UI's to make the game look better
- Redid the ship sending screen to make it easier to send the right amount of ships by allowing the player to directly enter in how many they want to select
- It is now possible to use the empire screen to quickly change production focuses on planets
- Improved the build/buy menu
- Improved the AI to make it more challenging
- Improved Diplomacy Screen
- Began overhauling the ground combat, allowing tech bonuses and different army types to get bonuses in combat rolls
- Added 5 new technologies related to ground combat
- Began overhauling space combat, to allow races to improve ships hit points, shields, and weapon damage
- Added 10 New Techs related to Ship Combat, mostly for ship hulls and improving ship damage
- Added 3 new Techs related to planetary bombardment along with 3 buildings
- Added weapon effects for when missiles or lasers are used against an enemy ship
- Added in death effects for when ships die
- Added in some basic combat sound effects
- Made improvements to the lobby system used for online multiplayer
- Fixed multiple bugs related to race and colour selection in the main menu
Unimplemented:
- Began working on a retreat system for ship battles, which will allow ships to retreat
- Began working on a ship design menu, allowing for player to change the ship designs and swap out weapons or make cheaper version of current ships
