How was the development process?

The Erebus Engine
A downloadable game

The development went quite smoothly, there were few bugs, those that were fixed immediately. In short, we had a good and fun time and enjoyed the development.

It was the first time in my life that I tried to fully modeling and texture my game, and I think it turned out very cool for the first time.

Recordy wrote most of the code, but I also wrote a couple of scripts, but of course most of the time was spent studying 3D modeling and a lot of trial and error in this area.

The idea for the game came literally as soon as the jam theme was announced, but in the process it was well refined and expanded. During development, we were inspired by Mike Klubnika's game "The Other Side". But it seems to me that we developed this concept and clearly went somewhere else, and not just copied his game.

I spent a lot of time polishing all the mechanics and adding as many pleasant sensations from the game as possible, such as camera swinging, footsteps, etc.

This is our first game jam where we are basically happy with the game and made it in time, growing on ourselves!

I hope you all enjoy playing it!
