#Update
It's here! After many months of work, we're finally ready to release our next update to the beta version of The Years of Adventure. We've incorporated a ton of feedback from our playtest sessions, overhauled a few of our major systems, and moved one step closer to a finished game. This update focuses mostly on our user-facing rules, particularly around techniques, and subsystems like crafting and enchanting, as well as some small changes to core systems, like stress. In our next update, we do expect to continue making minor balance changes and other tweaks to techniques, as well as adding more techniques, but this will not be the primary focus of the update.
Unfortunately, this update has taken us longer than we hoped, as this is a part-time endeavor for us here at Archstone Press, and life has a habit of getting in the way. Hopefully you won't be waiting as long for the next update as for this one, but as always, we make no promises. In our next update, we plan to add more support for GMs in the "Running the Game" section, filling out the remaining uncompleted parts of Armies, Navies, and Mass Combat, and something to make Domains a bit more distinctive, in addition to some minor additions and balance changes to the player-facing side of the game. Last but certainly not least, we are working on a character sheet for the game which we hoped to have ready for this update, but will definitely have by the next one, if not sooner.
Without further ado, here's what you can find in this latest update:
Thank you all for the support so far. If you've checked out or game, please do let us give us a rating or let us know what you think. Making and playing this game has been an absolute joy for us, and we hope it has brought a little joy into your lives as well.
