While I was perusing my list of 1000 words again, I noticed that I was missing some of the counter words in Korean.
For example, 개 means dog but it also means "number of things", which makes it a pretty important word to know for contextual understanding of sentences.
I went through and added in some of the other counter words, and then went through the process of having to remove some words in exchange. It's getting increasingly difficult, it's so tough to find words to remove now...
I also adjusted some of the earlier word categories. There is another pack composed of some critical vocabulary that must be learnt before all the other important vocabulary.
-----------Indispensable verbs Pack-----------
Be (is), Be (there), Do, Drink, Eat, Go, Learn, Like, Love, See/watch, Stop, Translate, Wait
-----------Vital Pack-----------
Bus, Emergency, Excuse me, Food, Goodbye, farewell, Goodbye, stay well!, Hello, welcome, Here, Hotel, Name, No, Restroom/toilet, Sorry, Taxi, Thank you, There, Water, Yes (kind affirmation)
These words are probably some of the most important to learn, but they also were rather diluted by the addition of the other important words. Now they should appear more meaningfully early.
I also moved the numbers category up one step. This has the other notable effect of pushing grammatical words like "and" a bit lower. Which I think is fine, because I think someone who is interested in starting to learn Korean may easily get overwhelmed by too much grammar being tossed at them early on.
