Welcome to our final devlog! Today we present to you our last update of our game, an overview of it's concept and mechanics, and a summary of all the biggest advances we've made with this project.
Lethal food it's a multiplayer versus game, inspired in other names like overcook, that follows a shift in a restaurant, where the chef is trying to get the place to close by making bad dishes and the waitress is doing their best to keep the local afloat by fixing the plates and delivering them correctly.
For the main mechanics, we have the kitchen where the chef can move around using WASD and select ingredients for the dishes using mouse clicks. And we have have the longue where the waitress will walk around serving plates, they can use the keyboard E to pick up the plates, Q to set them down and I to see and hide the list with the ingredients of the dish they've picked up, list they can also use to delete some ingredients from the dishes. Finally we have the clients, which are controlled automathically by the system and have different dishes they like, they will go to an empty table and order a dish, when they receive a plate they'll leave the restaurant and make the waitress lose a life if they serve a wrong dish. The waitress wins if they make it to the end of the shift, which lasts one minute; and the chef will win if the waitress loses all three lives.
We have made significant strides in developing our game and are excited about the progress so far, managing a succesful result. Many thanks for following our journey!
