Pareg v1.11 Update - Fixes & Adjustments
Hello! Thanks to all who returned to check out the new post-jam content, and I was happy to hear many of you enjoyed it and provided feedback!
A few issues were found with the new content, so this small update will address the ones I was made aware of, plus some other small changes.
If other issues are found, let me know!
As said in the previous devlog, while further adjustments or small improvements could be made to Knights of Pareg, I'm content with its current state as a slightly expanded game jam entry and dipping my toes into making a roguelite. Maybe later I'll type up a postmortem devlog.
V1.11 Adjustments:
- Starter rooms have a stone tablet as a reference of what the exit will look like
- Adjusted dialogue to specify progress towards removing a flame barrier
- Added small extra hint to how the torch puzzle works
- Lumi Spore item effect will stack if multiple are found before an expansion event occurs
Fixes:
- Adjusted terrain and some enemy movement in caves to prevent certain softlocks when being knocked backwards
- Responding "Not now" to an NPC in the forest could cause the event to proceed and loop a sound a large number of times
- For the torch puzzle, interacting with the lower-left one while the flame was purple would reset the value of the lower-right torch instead
