1 July Update
Trying to be more consistent with the updates.
Just as many new bugs introduced as features and updates!
A lot of the game information is stored in json files (items, shops, monsters) I have moved the loading of them to the main menu rather than loading and overwriting it on every screen as I have been doing. That's where it needs to be but no longer makes it possible for me to run the game from any screen. Along with a few other things I think I need a proper debug mode so I can test better and remove some of the cheats I have from the general game.
Other changes this week:
- Finally added the toilet to your home!
- No monsters spawn outside stonebrook now as per the original game
- Implemented a get item system from battle. Killing an angry hen now gives you a chicken egg as an example.
- Some small improvements to the inventory screen (V key) (You still can't use items but I know how I will do it)
- Advanced the mother dialogue, and have started dialogue on the old womens house, I am struggling to get yarn to recognise my variables though so it doesn't display the correct options based on what items you're holding. I'm thinking about moving dialogue to ink instead.
- Misc stuff here and there. You currently start with 100 gold so I could test buying items
