For the past few weeks, I've been developing a game in Java called Combot. Combot is a game that takes place in a war that happens long after humans have gone. Our antagonist robot tribe is invading our protagonists' tribe for their metal. And our protagonists are losing. Our heroes have one hope-and this hope is the legendary Combot that arrived to save our protagonists' tribe a few thousand years ago.
As for actual gameplay, Combot takes inspiration from actual wars. Wars don't work like two lines of people shooting each other-you're hiding behind rocks and buildings and debris, and that is what the enemies will do to you. When one of the robots(there'd be a few protagonist robots that are like a group of friends) is sent out into battle, you would control this robot and you'd be on the lookout for enemies. These enemies will randomly pop up, one after the other, and stay right in your face until either you shoot them enough times or they shoot you enough times. I'm posting this to make sure that people actually like this idea, and to see if I should invest any more time into it.
