This project was intended to be continued and finished after the game jam, and I had been working on it for almost an additional year. Unfortunately, when I transferring this project to a new computer, I started facing several issues that I was unable to fix. Nothing was working the way it was before. Levels seemed to be missing, unexpected crashes, and bugs.
This project has come a long way, and when I have the chance, I will access the most recent version (that is functional) and upload it.
Some features that will be included in the non-jam versions are:
> Story mode (unfinished - but started lol)
> Ability to travel between locations (changes the amount of enemies and types)
> Shop system with different weapons and abilities (I wish I had screenshots of, because I am really proud of how it turned out, having never made anything like that before)
- I'll be looking into getting that up in around next weekend.
- I would love to continue to work on this project, and if I can get it to work. I will absolutely pick it back up!
< Personal update >
I have started a Software Development program. My goal while I am in school is to complete 1 game per semester.
> I am currently in my second semester and I have just finished my first game for this challenge (I came up with this goal about halfway through the first semester)
> The first game in this challenge is called: Colour Match!
> A basic game where the player must match 3 coloured blocks to the adjacent cubes.
> I will be publishing this game in the next few days (ideally before the weekend)
> I haven't started my next game for semester 2, but I'm open to suggestions and ideas. The goal is to keep it really basic with a small scope, with the focus to be learning and pushing myself to practice new skills and techniques.
That's all for now. More updates to come!
