#oops/leave it powered #development
Back in September 2023, I took part in Trijam #238. In this Jam, your goal is to create a playable game in less than 3 hours. Its topic was "Push and Pull". I created a small puzzle game in around 3 and a half hours.
Oops is a game I created for the Trijam #238 game jam. In this puzzle 9-level game, you control a clumsy robot (called Kapi, engineered by KapiCORE™) obsessed with batteries that magnetic items stick to who lives on a battery-powered space ship. I won 2nd place (It appears 1st on the jam page, but developing the game took me a little more than 3 hours)
After that, I realized that I can make it into a good-looking puzzle game with several mechanics. So, since September, I've been balancing daily life and development of the game. After making 70 levels and polishing, I'm finishing up, and looking forward to release this game in July!
I really like the name "Oops!" (it describes, in one word, situations when you accidentally pull a battery out of a wall socket in the game) but a LOT of games are called this name or similar, so I resolved to give it another name. I thought of the name "Leave it powered". (If you played the jam version and you got better ideas, feel free to share!)
TL;DR I made puzzle game called oops for a jam and kept developing it and going to release it in July
