First Update

A new version of Jalopy is out! This one has lots of changes both big and small. Unfortunately it also has some bugs so there's going to be at least one more update before things are where I want them to be.

The biggest change is that limbs are now restricted in where they can be. No longer can you have your right arm go clean through your chest to hold the left door shut. Sorry. My intent for the game is to have the player juggling tools from left to right to keep up with car parts breaking down while strategically holding some parts down to buy time to fix them.

That slides nicely into the next change. You can now control one of the character's legs. Since you're wearing a shoe you can't pick things up with your foot but it's handy at holding parts of the car down. You can even steer with your foot.

The last big gameplay change is that there is now a limit in the number of things that can be breaking at the same time. This gradually increases as the game goes on so things get more hectic. You will no longer run into everything suddenly breaking at once due to bad luck.

• Redid the background art
• Lots more variation in the background scenery with associated ambience
• Fullscreen mode
• You can press ESC at any time to exit

Known Bugs

• Steering wheel sometimes forgets a hand or foot is on it and will start failing
• Limbs jump around when clicked causing jank
• Dragging limbs slightly during click causes issues
• Sometimes tools can be picked up from infinitely far away
• Rarely mouse clicks stop working after resetting the game multiple times
