The Music of HITM3 (Part 1) - Devlog 012

HITM3
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

When I started making games, I thought I was starting from scratch. HITM3 made me realise that was not the case because your baggage always comes with you. One of the examples of this can be found on the music you hear while playing the game.

Before making games, I was making music videos and with the realisation that everything I love could be a videogame, I was excited to connect these two dots. I started to reach out to the artists I worked with and loved so the new HITM3's story could be told trough their music.

Now that the demo is up and you can play the first three days of HITM3, let's highlight some of the artists you can hear:

Niñosindigo

Niñosindigo is the project of the talented multidiscipline artist and the best roomate I had, Valeria Hernández. She describes her sounds in her Vuduwave's album as  "The rhythm of what surrounds me; the lake, the forest near where I live, the calm that surrounds it, the love of my friends and daughter." This closeness is shared with each of her songs, giving you a hug on the times you most need one. You can find her songs here

Lavina Yelb

The first concert my friend Diego took me out to see when I first got to Chile was a Lavina Yelb's live. Since then I've became in love with his work, his great animation work and it's been exciting to see this once solo project turn into a full-blown band. If you get to see them live, it'll be one of most exciting act you could ever see. You can find their music here.

Vicente Palma

I've never ate a better cochayuyo than the one cooked by Vicente Palma when we were sharing flat with Valeria. If you find yourself in one of his Dj sets, you'll be a lucky one.  You can find more of his work here.

paltamango

My friend Mapo introduced me to paltamango and since then, I've been dancing to her sounds nonstop. You can find her work here and also her exciting label Cartajena Ink.

Lia Nadja

Lia Nadja's lyricism has been the bridge that made this journey possible. Her songs about darkness, hope and daily life share the same world of Nam and his beloved pack. This connection made me see that HITM3 could be a possibility and I'll be forever grateful for that. You can check her work here.

There's more artist to come when HITM3 releases on the 11st of July so I hope to see you there!

Meanwhile you can wishlist the game here.

Big hugs,
Xiri
