This week there are no crazy changes, we implemented some UI changes as well as some of the art being finally in the game.
When firing up the game you will find the start menu. In the start menu you can find some basic information about the game. You can choose between 1v1 or 2v2, you can see the controls and even exit the game instead of ‘alt+f4’ ; - ). The How To Play panel is not yet implemented but by next week you can definitely find it there along side the credits.
For the last few weeks we’ve been showing of a lot of art, but every build we showed was with basic shapes and placeholders. Well here it is, we started to slowly implement all of the art and animations into the game.
For now you’ll find all of the characters, the boomboxes and the playing field to be changed to its definitive models.
The main theme of our game and you haven’t heard a single thing about it. That’s right this week we’ll show you our first song. The music is very important for our concept to work so finding an artist who could do the job was going to be really hard. But we did it, may we present to you: The first Grave Rave Disco song! (click the image below to listen to the music).
As we said, no impressive changes, just some really cool developments on music and art side of things! I hope you are as excited as we are to hear more from our music artist and as always: Testing our game and leaving a comment on our page is greatly appreciated. We can take these comments into consideration while working on this gem. Keep in mind, each build we put online, in these weeks, is not a finished version of our work.
We look forward to hearing from you, and we’ll see you next week!
