Game a Week #14: Negative Space
What went right:
- I had never created a game with swiping mechanics, but after a bit of searching online I managed to find a sample of instructions to use and I ended up tweaking them a bit to be more responsive on a phone.
- Using the website HacknPlan actually seemed to help quite a bit with juggling the tasks I needed to work on.
What went wrong:
- The levels didn't quite work the way I had hoped that they would so I had to tweak the game play a bit to accommodate for the structure of the levels.
- I did noticed that on the phone, the red pixels seem to go into the level a bit, but in the few days I worked on the game, I kept pushing the bug aside and it never got fixed.
- Sleeping in two days of the week doesn't help and so I lost two days of development thanks to my bad nightly routine.
What I learned:
- I still need to find a way to manage my time better and I definitely need to work on winding down the night before so I can actually sleep.
