This jam underscored the plethora of Language Choice For Engineering chats I've had recently about how academics now love venture capitalist language-of-the-week, and engineering firms try to dress up as the company whose venture capital strategy they envy.
Every one of these game jammers, academics and engineers would have done better by starting out their own personal common lisp macro language otherwise using what was already common in common lisp for decades, rather than giving their lives to support these literally so random javascript-C-envy business ventures.
I think the one exception is guile hoot. If you want a webasm website visual novel engine, the spritely institute's guile hoot visual novel game engine certainly is that.
