Jesus…it’s been a hot minute…
I know I said I wanted to make a showcase, but there are walls I have to jump over.
What do you think?
I decided to go with a confetti cake batter theme, because this is about parties after all.
Then I made new character sprites:
Aren’t they just cute?
If you’ve been keeping up with ALL of my games, one of them looks AWFULLY FAMILIAR. Yes, that’s right; she’s in this game too! Who are the other two? Well, more on that on a different update. But one thing’s for sure, you can play as all of them. There will be even more characters to choose for your party as well.
It still needs more…tell me what you think so far!
That’s just the good stuff. But of course, game development isn’t very easy. The devil always tries to ruin our day and make the road not so easy to cross.
You know how in more recent RPGs (At least from the recent RPGMaker versions) the camera is more zoomed in to the characters and map. Well
I tried to find a script that zooms in the map, but I can’t find one that works…except one. But it’s abandoned. It works but there’s a problem; when you continue the game, where ever the camera was left last, even though it may’ve bot been saved there. It autosaves it, but it’s not focused on the character… -_-
I knew I was gonna have to at some point (like for the battle system), but not so soon. I’m researching how to do this,
I can’t find it ANYWHERE! Fortunately, there’s a script that allows you to use RGSS3 code. I found a playlist on how to code in 3, but it’s aimed at RPG Maker VXA.
Welp. We’re starting somewhere at least.
I got ALOT more research to do. At this rate, it may be a bit before any showcases. Worry not; I got this.
Aaaaand that’s a month worth of an update. That’s right a month. This should’ve been reported A WHILE ago, but here we are.
Thanks for reading! Have a nice day!
