Action Points in TBD RPG
at the start of combat, each player will start with their max AP. Until the start of their next turn, they can spend their AP to execute different moves or skills. Such as attacking a target, this would use 2 AP for a basic attack like swinging a sword. A player can make as many moves as they would like to each turn so long as they have the available AP to do so. At the start of each turn, the player will regain a portion of their AP up to their max.
Turn 1: start with 4 AP, attack (-2 AP) + attack (-2 AP) = end of turn 0 AP
Turn 2: regain 2 AP, attack (-2 AP) = end of turn 0 AP
Turn 3: regain 2 AP, do nothing = end of turn 2 AP
Turn 4 regain 2 AP, do nothing = end of turn 4 AP
Turn 5: gain no AP, attack (-2 AP) = end of turn 2 AP
A player can make moves during an ally or enemy turn if they have AP available. For example, if a bandit is attacking an ally you can use some of your AP to guard your ally or attack the enemy during their turn.
