the Sunnyside Update! (v1.1)

At long last, egg related videogame v1.1 is out!

This update does not add a whole lot feature-wise, but addresses many issues from the jam version. Hope you enjoy!

• Saving!
  • Your eggs, facilities, progress, etc. are now saved and loaded automatically
• A day/night cycle!
  • Some tasks you’ll need to perform in the day or night now!
• Your unlocked creatures now roam in the background!
  • Different creatures have different behavior
• 15 new creatures!
  • There are now 46 creatures in total
  • A secret creature has also been added!
• 2 new tasks!
  • …and new variations of existing tasks!
• An extended tutorial!

There’s also been quality-of-life changes across the whole game:

• Panning is improved, and is easier on trackpads/touchscreens
• When an egg is in the dye bowl or incubator, the next task is now shown in a little paper strip above
• The dumpster is slightly more useful now
• You are now more likely to encounter unseen creatures
• Different coin denominators (10 coin, 50 coin)
• Indicators for “throw against other egg” task
  • Also much easier now
• You can now throw eggs into the dye bowl
• Clarified phrasing for several tasks
• Redo dye bowl coloring
• Simplified dye tasks
• Show progress indicators on notes
• Shop graphical improvements
  • You can also click on upgrades to scroll to them
• Facilities no longer break on resize
• The game now slows down when showing dialog
• Dialog text no longer overflows on certain texts
• Fix several crashes and many many bugs, notably:
  • Egg smash crashes
  • Egg OOB clipping
  • Incubator crash
  • Collision fixes
  • Egg edge of screen jank
  • Audio fixes
  • Note jitter gone for good
  • Hello?
    • listen. since you’ve made it this far we need your help. we need Hello? dead or alive. if you see him please screenshot him
    • in other words, it shows up when there’s an error now
• Typo fixes
• RNG is now deterministic
• Removed Herobrine
