Hello Internet Void,
I've been updating weekly progress on twitter and youtube, but I thought I'd go ahead and share some of my progress and thoughts here as well! So far https://ekkoberry.itch.io/ and I have most of the game functions and major assets all set up. We've teamed with https://star-sundae.itch.io/ who is generously making some music for us. We've been moving along quickly with working as a team so going into the second half of the gamejam, we'll be working on the GUI, CGs and writing story. We hope to deliver the game in its entirety.
This game is a bit of a parody but it also does fit in with the ADW stories canonically as one possible branching of some ADW endings. You can think of it as a light-hearted optional sequel. Playing the previous two games is not necessary, but there may be some references/conversations that will be confusing to the player if they are unfamiliar with the previous games. There maybe some broad references to events that have not happened yet in the main game, (as the story is complete in my brain), but I don't think there's anything specific enough to be a true spoiler, also given that events may not play out the same for the player in the main game depending on their choices.
Game will take place with the assumption that the Transient One completed the task of the gods and returned home without any final romance ending with any of the LIs. This is based on ADW for Lor, Ashur, Katnir and Ruwin. Jeth is coming from his own timeline in ADWVH. There is more of a singular Dating simulator emphasis than the other two games, as there is no RPG/battling element.
It's been a ton of fun to work on so far so I'm really looking forward to sharing it with you all at the end of June. Thanks again for following these characters and story world. <3<3<3<3<3 Jen
Ps. After an entire 4 weeks of spelling 'gacha', 'gatcha' I realized I was spelling it wrong when Ekkoberry randomly forgot to put the 't' in the imagebutton. LOL!! Also why maid outfits you may ask? The devs have done their research as to popular gacha banners is why!
