Twisted Tower
A downloadable game

So to start off, the jams I was hoping to join only had a few days left when I wrote my log last week, so unfortunately there wasn't enough time to do anything there unfortunately. So I'll probably take a look at getting started anyways just because. No idea when I'll really get started on it though because I'm still not sure how to implement graphics via javascript yet. There hasn't been a any sign of graphics related lessons in Code Academy but there is a course in node.js, which has me curious. Otherwise I'll probably start looking into pixi.js in more depth to get started on something.

Speaking of Code Academy, I checked the course description again recently and found out that I've only been doing about 33% of what's available in said JS course because the other 66 percent is locked behind their subscription. It's quizzes and the projects I talked about a few weeks ago, w2hich is odd since those seemed free when I found them, but I don't feel like they'd be all that necessary to do since, I can just make an something relevant to myself instead. We will of course see when the time comes, but this is all what I'm planning at the moment.

Otherwise, I wrapped up the iterator potion of the course and am on to objects. The first thing I thought about when I saw them was an inventory system, which is encouraging for me to see. I was in the mindset that I should just start making something with what I know now, but then realized I can't really create with full effectivity if I don't know what tools I have access to. So with that, I suppose I'll have more to share within the coming weeks when the JS course is actually finished. I'll see where to go from there and hopefully feel ready to actually start making something.
