While making version 0.1.5, the first gameplay scene got corrupted, and after several bad decisions later, I decided to make a new scene. The good thing is that I already knew I had to make a new map as the one I had was not a great way to start the game, yet it might work better if I had it as a later scene.
But here's the list of other updates:
- I added a new scene.
- I added a new enemy type with the working (and hidden) title "Loud grunt," which will alert nearby grunts while chasing you.
- I added doors and locked doors. I really played around with the ability to customize these, as I can make a locked door but no key, I can leave either open from the start, and, worst of all, I could make a key but no locked door.
- I can now name scenes other things, but they're currently still formatted as "WORLD x-x"
- Various small updates to the enemy script, some of which are taught to you in the game if they're important enough.
- Pretty importantly, telling as I can consistently and quickly beat the first scene, the game should be much easier now (or it's just because the level design no longer maximizes the grunts' advantage).
