Alright! Slime game 1.4 is out! We did not have much time to work on it due to finals at school, but we were able to complete most of our promises from the previous post.
There are 6 additional levels scattered throughout the game. The menu has been changed to only use keyboard input to match the gameplay style. The game now supports controller as well, if you would prefer to play on a gamepad or something else.
Unfortunately, named levels did not get added in this update, though we are considering a chapter system instead of naming individual levels, so we decided to drop the level names for this update. Additionally, the UI could still use some more polish, but we did make it entirely keyboard controlled and the game now supports controller input!
The primary reason that we ended up rushing this update a bit is because there is a school event right now to submit games to be played on the WPI arcade cabinet! We now have support for the arcade machine though, so Slime Game can be played by anyone who comes to visit Fuller Labs.
We will continue to improve on the UI and levels over time. Making a more long-term sustainable level system is one of our top priorities at the moment, so stay tuned for a big level update coming up!
