15/5/2024 Charged Bullet & Thruster Tweaks
After a year with no updates, I'm giving the player a bullet powerup and trying to adjust the thruster curves to fit some more playstyles.
Changes include:
- Braking the ship will now charge up the remote bomb for a bigger, more powerful, and longer-lasting explosion.
- Rotational thrusters now lose power when the main thrusters are in use.
- Flying too far off-screen now results in a game over.
- The force with which the remote bomb is launched from the ship now depends on how far the ship's rotation is from its current direction of motion.
- Slightly increased the kick-back from launching a remote bomb.
- The ship now has a small amount of orbital momentum when it spawns.
- Old particles will get cleaned up when new particles try to spawn while the population of particle is over the maximum value.
- Brought the grid lines on the right side of the screen all the way to the edge.
