Version 0.0.4!

Version 0.0.4 is now officially online!

With version 0.0.4, the largest update yet for Dark Discoveries is now available online! Several bugs have been fixed, many jumpscares have been revised, a new one has been added, and fundamental changes have been made to enhance the player experience.

How to install:

To install version 0.0.4, first delete the old Dark Discoveries folder completely from your desktop. If you wish to keep your game progress with photographed anomalies, copy the 'Player Data' folder from the Dark Discoveries Version folder before deleting it. Then, you can download the update normally from the Dark Discoveries itch.io main page. Extract the downloaded folder. Ensure that the new folder is named 'Dark Discoveries Version' and is located on the desktop. If not, you can simply rename the folder. Afterward, you can copy the copied 'Player Data' folder into the new 'Dark Discoveries Version' folder and then start the 'Dark Discoveries.exe'.

Bug fixes:

• Further bugs that caused players to be ejected from the map have been rectified.
• In the event of a player falling off the map, they will now be automatically teleported to the map's starting point without losing progress. The run will continue normally.
• Some anomalies that weren't saved after being photographed have been corrected.
• The hitbox of certain anomalies has been refined to make it more challenging for players to bypass them.
• A bug that allowed anomalies to continue generating after completing the game has been fixed.
• Issues with the anomaly involving the Ouija Board have been addressed.

Major Changes:

• The required walk attempt count to complete the game has been reduced from 14 to 12.
• Several jump scares have been reworked and new ones added.
• There is now an achivement for the player if he finds all 35 anomalies.
• Game performance has been overhauled and improved to ensure an even smoother player experience.

Current Focus:

• Unfortunately, there are still a few bugs preventing certain anomalies from being photographed. Nevertheless, I'm already working on resolving this issue as quickly as possible.
