I released 0.4.x; here are the changes.
Re: story
- Added Nanako and Yuu (characters); added 4 associated conversations and 2 associated hcgs.
- Fix: Added items to the rooms associated with Torne's 2nd/3rd events.
Re: gameplay
- Added 1 boss-like encounter (appears on B9).
- Added 1 item enchantment: <weapon> of knockback.
- Added 1 terrain: spikes
- Added 1 tactics: stay
- Added dungeon regions, e.g. cave, ruins, castle. (At the moment, this is cosmetic.)
- Made it so monster AI can use most potions, e.g. potion of healing, potion of poison.
- Adjustment: Made it so giving/taking an item takes a turn.
- Adjustment: Made it so companions prefer to equip items which you've given them.
- Adjustment: Made it so regenerate rate bonuses are percent-based.
- Fix: Made it so monster AI don't attack their allies with long attacks.
- Fix: Made it so save/load works when a monster is in the middle of a bow's slow long attack.
- Fix: Made it so lilipads don't go underwater.
- Fix: Made it so "of thorns" is named "of thorns" instead of "of poison".
Re: ui
- Added "Give" to the item menu.
- Moved "Remove from party" to the companion menu.
- Added a subtle animation when showing portraits.
Plans for 0.5.x
- Make it so you can have more than one companion; have companions banter.
- Polish the gameplay loop.
- Polish the ui.
- Animate character sprites, portraits, and hcgs (I attached a preview!).
- Add nude portraits for various scenes, e.g. Viola's hot spring scene, Viola's bathtub scene.
- Find a musician!
