Hello everyone! What I have for you today is a (very) early preview build of my next game. This is not a sequel or "second chapter" to Olivine Lights, nor is it an expansion or an update or anything like that. This is a whole new game, still set in the same world, but with all new characters.
I'm going to make this game its own itch.io page once it's a little more finished. Right now none of the art for this game is done, and everything you see here are placeholder assets. The backgrounds are a mix of bad AI and random stock photos, and a bunch of supporting characters use art for other existing pokemon characters. The ending for the game also hasn't been written yet. With that said, I want your feedback! There are over 100,000 words in here and the writing and coding are pretty well polished (though it needs a thorough spellcheck) and I want to know what people have to say about what I've written so far. Right now this build is only available for Windows. I tried making it work on Android and the entire UI is broken and unplayable. The game will be available for Android eventually. For now it's too early to be worth messing with. Sorry.
Update: I fixed a few major bugs that occur early in the game, which would basically prevent the player from proceeding. I fixed the GUI issues that were making the android version unplayable, so you can now play the alpha on android. The android installer is in the folder below. I still wouldn't say the game is necessarily optimized for android, but it's playable.
Update 2: I fixed some more major bugs and reduced the file size by quite a bit. You should now be able to get to the end of every scene that's in the game without it soft locking or going off the rails.
