Added NTSC version plus some minor adjustments in V1.1
We are happy to present the result of our effort in making a dedicated NTSC version of Timo's Castle for our Retro friends in North America and other NTSC countries. It feels, looks and sounds just as the PAL version without any loss of quality. We are very proud of the outcome.
At the same time we added compatibility in the PAL version of V1.1 for the very early C64 PAL models.
Version 1.1 also received some minor improvements and gameplay enhancements to avoid unfair enemy encounters to make your castle run even more enjoyable.
Detailed changes in v1.1:
Intro
- Improved story abbort recognition via Run/Stop (or Esc in VICE)
- Menu item text "Load Game" could have been misleading as loading a save state. We replaced this text with "Play Game" followed by a short "Loading..." text.
Game
- The Mews: Standing on the platform just a few pixels above the galloping black beauty, won't kill Timo anymore.
- Wine Cellar room: Timo could have been killed by the middle kork sprite only due to 1 or 2 pixels. Now Timo can stand safely while the middle kork flies by. Also collecting the bonus item in this room could have had unfortunate impact when falling too far afterwards. This has been fixed.
