Osaze Devlog #1 - Anglerfish and Kraken Enemies
This week I worked on some enemy AI design and basic level / gameplay for Skeleton Hell (Working Title).
Anglerfish
Enemy Behavior
- Senses movement nearby and will chase the player down if they move in its hunting vicinity.
- Occasionally senses movement further away in its investiagtion vicinity.
- Sense the placement of bones on the level and will swim towards the spot at which a bone is placed immediately.
Gameplay
- Objective: Players must try to collect as many orbs as they can without dying to the anglerfish.
- The anglerfish's aggression level increases as the player collects more orbs. Agression level increases result in
- Faster movement speed
- Larger investiagtion and hunting areas.
Kraken
Enemy Behavior
- The Kraken always knows where the player is and extends out its tentacles through the maze to hunt for them.
Gameplay
- Objective: Players must survive for as long as they can without being touched by the Kraken's tentacles.
- Kraken's tentacles will become more aggressive over time which results in:
