Mangerie Online has just been released! Written in Typescript, source code is available on github (https://github.com/planetegem/Mangerie_Online). I'm still working on a mobile friendly version: I expect to release this on my website (https://www.planetegem.be) tomorrow.
What is this about?
When visiting the Kaleidoscope museum in Kyoto, I immediately started playing with the idea to make a digital kaleidoscope. A few months later I was learning C# and began creating Mangerie as a way of learning the language, and specifically getting some hours in with WPF. I was happy with the result, but was annoyed by the barrier of having to install it . Hence this new version, written in Typescript, available online and with a brand new interface.
Plans?
The way this was programmed it is an easy step to add different picture albums around different themes. It would even be a fun option to let users add their own albums and descriptions (which could then be saved in localStorage or as a downloadable JSON-object), so I intend to explore this.
Besides this, I'm not 100% happy with the aesthetics of the interface yet: if I don't get distracted, I'll probably tinker around with this too.
