So, as of writing the downloadable build of this game was created in Unreal Engine 5, which if you aren't aware, isn't exactly the best tool for 2D games. Not to mention UE games have quite a chunky footprint and can be challenging to run well on lower end hardware. These issues can be worked around and optimisations certainly can be made, however i'm set on using godot both as it'd make my life easier in these regards, as well as the fact i'm enjoying learning Godot in my free time and would like to apply that by remaking my first ever game in a new light.
There is no set roadmap let alone release date. I am working on it piece by piece in my own time. I will share any noteable updates here as they happen though!
