So I have been playing around with the cards back design and I realized I haven't actually come up with the actual mechanic of the cards. In my head it will be that every card will have a set of informaton on it. 

  • Card cost. My plan will be to limit the team by cost and only allow stronger combinations once certain conditions are fulfilled, like a minimum player level.
  • Type. I am Type. For real though, I want to make use of magic grouping. Arcane, Elemental, Spirit, Esper, Power. It will add conditions to actions but I haven't thought of how to do it yet.
  • Actions. The way I want the game to work is to have every card have four actions made up from one of four types. Each action  has a certain tier to it. A second card can be equipped. This determines what the action does and how often it can be done. Every card will have at least one tier zero action. This will be an action that can be done infinitely without equipping anything. But I still have to find a good way to show it on the card itself.
  • Grouping, Company, Species. These information have no effect directly, however on other cards they can indirectly be used to some effect. For example I want to have a card that says: "Have 5 elfs in play,."
  • Stats. I don't know if this even makes sense but since it is a gacha I want to have some sort of infinite scaling. So duplicates will strenghten the stats on the card. Will have to play around to see if it is any good.

I think I'll just leave the card design to be sketchy and keep on developing the tutorial for now.
