First of all, thank you to everyone who has purchased the desktop version so far...! I am aware there is no desktop icon; I really wanted to release this today and I had to cut some corners to make that happen. I am going to add that and some other patches to a 1.0.1 release.
Your support means a lot to me and makes me more likely to continue doing what I like to do. @w@
I've always wanted to do two things: make an R-18 game, and publish something using Godot.
Kemopop! was made in just under three weeks. I'd like to share a quick timeline of the milestones, since I have version control:
April 10th
A few hours after this version I realised I wanted to make something a bit more interesting than Suika.
April 11th
The numbers are for a cut concept where I wanted to have sweets with special abilities.
April 15th
The concept was pretty much nailed down at this point. I already had concerns about the multicoloured balls since they looked samey once more colours were added, and it would be far worse for someone who is colourblind, so they did not last very long!!
April 19th
Azura was the first character I focused on for Kemopop!. I'll draw more of him I promise
April 23rd
At this point, the in-game GUI is virtually identical to the final, so I don't even include it here. I can't believe Rika isn't even in at this point...! I completed his artwork only yesterday @w@
