#Devlog #Number1
Hello everyone!
This is the first devlog I make not only for Fireheart but in general.
So I hope you will not be too harsh and english also is not my mother language so yeah.
First of all I would like to thank everyone who shows interest in the development of Fireheart.
The game is by no means finished yet but I am trying to show you guys some weekly updates!
You deserve it.
So how went this week for Fireheart?
It went pretty well, I guess. This week I focused more on the Building System than the RPG part. I felt like it needed more and more attention so I changed a few things there. I started tweaking the resource gain from the buildings so I could start testing how it feels to play with the Building aspect.
Before, you could build buildings on NPCs and the player. This was a problem I really wanted to fix because you could abuse the build mode to trap NPCs inside buildings. That certainly was not inteded. When you built a house on the player, the player would fall through the ground and die.
So yeah, kinda had to change it.
I also implemented some quality of life things and a little bit more visibility.
When the resources reach the maximum capacity the numbers now turn red, which is a small change but a welcome one.
I added some Icons on the player built buildings, so you can distinguish between your built things and the buildings already placed in the world.
While I focused more on the Building System, I did not want to neglect the RPG aspect.
So I tweaked there a few things, you can buy weapons now and I added a Level System (it was easier than I thought).
This is not all I worked on this week but those things are the more notable ones I guess.
