Hi!
It’s been a long time but I’m back with a rather huge update this time. After playing Paper Lily (which is such an inspiring game), I felt to visit my own project. A few days later and I spend most of my free time on this project…again!
One of the most difficult parts of this game is the labyrinth. You don’t get any clues on where to head so players were meant to try out all possible paths and finally reach Drasil. However, this is not fun! So I added hints. Whenever you find a red leaf, a voice tells you something about the labyrinth. You might not understand these hints at first, but eventually they guide you through the labyrinth.
But still, the labyrinth is meant to be difficult to fully understand. So don’t expect it to be much easier now. If you still have problems finding Drasil, please tell me. Quite possible that it is still too hard.
With new characters come new quests. Help Fletcher to be a hero and rescue him… Learn how to play pan flute.
I reworked the system for placing flowers, grass etc. using the tilemapping features of Godot. That way, I can place flowers individually. Also the ordering works now properly. So Mira no longer runs on the flowers but through the flowers. This should greatly improve the feeling of the game.
As this is still a pure passion project, there is no fixed roadmap. As long as I enjoy working on this, I add new features and polish the game further.
One of the bigger plans is character individualization. You can already change Mira’s flower and equip a cape. But there should be more options to change the appearance of Mira. Different clothes, colors etc.
I also plan to enhance the story and add new maps so that you can explore more of Nyenia. There should also be more useful items and a few more monsters.
I’m always curious to read what players think about my game. So if you have bug reports, feedback, suggestions or ideas, let me know.
Thanks for reading!
