Change Log 1
Upon our first release, there were a lot of game-breaking bugs that we wanted to address. We have implemented the following updates and changes to facilitate better game flow. For the original submission build please see the LDSubmissionBuild attached to this log. For our current post-bug fix submission, please see the Thursday build attached to this log.
The following was items have been addressed and updated:
Patch 1
- Summon FX for dragonflies when you get them now playing
- Some trees in the early area now fade out so you can see the path, adjusted the trees a bit
- Temporarily disabled the dynamic music until we get our sound engineer to implement the solution properly
- Temporarily disabled the opening dialog slide sequence until we can guarantee it only triggers once
- Implemented a solution to the stuttering nature of the player movement when sliding into a dialog or combat position
- Merged DBs
- Fixed dialogue starters not disabling
- Intro cutscene now auto-plays and disables after finish
Patch 2
- You can now finish the game
- Combat is much less buggy
- Fixed ending not switching to credits
- Polarity bar works
- Polished island 1
- Fixed camera clipping issues
- Fixed lever UI instances 2, 3, 4, and 5.
- Fixed collision on island 2.
- Fixed an issue where a "ticking" noise would loop after getting out of a conversation.
- Audio manager fixed to have the Final Battle (Boss) music
- Fixed an issue where the Play Game SFX would place twice.
- Fixed an issue where the current region music would play the combat theme twice at all times.
- Fixed an issue where the Settings sliders would visually not update properly.
Patch 3
- Some NPCs now despawn after dialog sequence as intended.
- Dialog Manager UI Element is no longer displayed outside of the game scene
- Fixed collision at the corner of a sunken ruin.
- Stopped rocks from blocking raycast.
- Adjusted position of a few combats slightly, for clipping issues.
- Fixed sunken ruins water material.
- Simplified stone bridge collision on zone 3.
- Fixed an issue where the enemy was not oriented properly during combat.
- Audio fixed to work per region.
- Fixed Polarity UI not showing correct values, not updating the sliders, adjusted graphic and visual elements.
- Added Arrow Key Support
- Ravi no longer endlessly runs in battle
- Companions go to the right spot in battle
- Ravi goes to the right spot in battle
- Eliminated some Unity Warnings regarding animators
- Combat Visual and SFX are now playing
Patch 4
- VO for lore statues now working,
- Fixed punctuation typos.
